Neoplastic meningitis (NM) is one of the complications of advanced cancer. Diagnosis of NM is initiated by clinical suspicion, and made by malignant cells in repeated cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) study. We report a patient with NM, who has been misdiagnosed as tuberculous meningitis. The patient complained with severe headache and right shoulder pain. Headache and right shoulder pain was not relieved by anti-tuberculosis treatment and analgesics. After repeated CSF study, she was diagnosed with NM.
